"Mila's Tools" by
Scott DeSapio © 2010 is an experiment in using
jquery and
jqtouch to create
a simple web based mobile application emulating a native iPhone application.
What does "Mila's Tools" do?
"Mila's Tools" is a
unit conversion calculator serving the purpose of quickly converting between
common units of measure.
Where'd the name come from?
My wife's name is Mila and I adore my wife. Sometimes she asks me to build her software to make her life
easier. This app is a result of one of those times.
Why is "Mila's Tools" sometimes slow?
My intention with this app was to frustrate anyone using it as quickly as possible. App performance seemed
to be the easiest and most effective way. OK... not
really.
I've been scratching my head over this one forEVER. However, while I continue looking for the
programmatic solution, rebooting the iPhone seems to have considerable impact on overall app performance.
To reboot your iPhone, hold down the "Home" button (the big button on the bottom) and the "Sleep/Wake"
button (the silver button on the top). Keep them depressed until you see the screen go black and then
the Apple logo appear. Let go and your iPhone will be back up in a minute.
